Naturel is de lichte, onbehandelde kleur van het hout, met zichtbare nerf en natuurlijke kleurverschillen; het geeft een licht, natuurlijk interieur. Bruin is hetzelfde hout met een donkerder beits of olie: de nerf oogt gelijkmatiger en warmer en past bij een klassieker of stoerder beeld. Beide afwerkingen zijn even sterk; het verschil is puur de uitstraling.
