Product Information
The round Ferris is the most convivial table in the series. Everyone sits equidistant from each other, no one is at the head, and conversations naturally flow around the table. Due to the absence of corners, you can also move around it smoothly in a more compact dining room, meaning a round dining table often leaves more space than you expect.
You can choose the solid oak top in natural, black, or brown. Below it, you can fit a central pedestal base with a round footplate, allowing you to sit freely all around, or a round matrix base for a sturdier character. Both are available in sand, black, and bronze, and the matrix base also comes in multiple tube sizes.
- Sizes: 110, 130, and 150 cm diameter
- Seating: 4 to 6 people
- Top: solid European oak (FSC), 3 cm thick with bevelled edge
- Legs: pedestal base or matrix base, in sand, black, or bronze
- Height: 76 cm
The oval Ferris offers the length of a rectangular table, but with soft, continuous lines. No sharp corners to bump into, and a silhouette that keeps the space open and light. This makes it the most versatile shape in the series: elegant enough for a chic dining room, practical enough for everyday use.
The chamfered oak top tapers thinly at the edges, making even the largest size look refined. Combine natural, black, or brown oak with the sculptural Y-leg that makes the top appear to float, the robust cross leg with an industrial character, or the iconic matrix leg. All legs are available in sand, black, and bronze.
- Sizes: 180, 210, 240, and 280 cm
- Seating: 4 to 10 people
- Top: solid European oak (FSC), 3 cm thick with a chamfered edge
- Legs: Y-leg, cross leg, or matrix leg, in sand, black, or bronze
- Height: 76 cm
Danish oval is the best of both worlds: the straight sides of a rectangular table with softly rounded ends. The result is a Scandinavian silhouette that is remarkably practical. You get more surface area per person than with a classic oval, and someone can comfortably sit at the ends too.
It's precisely this combination that makes the Danish oval Ferris popular with families: plenty of seating, no sharp corners, and a timeless shape that suits almost any interior style. Choose your top in natural, black, or brown and complete it with a Y-leg, cross-leg, or matrix leg in sand, black, or bronze.
- Sizes: 180, 200, 240 and 280 cm
- Seating: 4 to 10 people
- Top: solid European oak (FSC), 3 cm thick with chamfered edge
- Legs: Y-leg, cross-leg, or matrix leg, in sand, black, or bronze
- Height: 76 cm
The Cloud is the most distinctive table in the collection. Its organically shaped top is asymmetrical: no two sides are alike, which is precisely what makes each Cloud a design object in its own right. The fluid shape breaks with straight lines and instantly gives your dining room a gallery feel, without compromising on durability.
Despite its unique design, the Cloud is a full-fledged family table made of solid European oak, 3 cm thick and finished with a chamfered edge. Choose the top in natural for a soft, natural look, in black for a sculptural silhouette, or in brown for warm depth, and pair it with a Y-leg, cross-leg, or matrix leg in sand, black, or bronze.
- Sizes: 180, 210, 240, and 280 cm
- Seating: 4 to 10 people
- Top: solid European oak (FSC), 3 cm thick with chamfered edge, asymmetrically shaped
- Legs: Y-leg, cross-leg, or matrix leg, in sand, black, or bronze
- Height: 76 cm
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the four forms?
Round brings everyone together and is ideal for 4 to 6 people. Perfect for more compact dining rooms.
Oval gives you the length of a rectangular table with soft lines, without sharp corners. For 4 to 10 people.
Danish Oval has straight sides with rounded ends. You have more surface area per person and can also comfortably sit at the ends.
Organic (Cloud) has an asymmetrically shaped top with no two sides alike. A true design statement in solid oak.
What leaf colors are there?
Each tabletop is available in three solid oak colors: natural for a light and natural character, black for a modern and tough look, and brown with a warm, deep wood color.
Which table legs can I choose?
Depending on the shape and size, you can choose from four leg types. Each leg type is available in black, bronze, or sand.
Column leg: a central column with a round base plate for round tables, allowing you to sit freely all around.
Matrix leg: the iconic star leg, available in several tube sizes from slender 2.5x7.5 cm to robust 5x10 cm.
Y-leg: two elegant, angled supports that make the top appear to float.
Cross leg: a low, cross-shaped base with an industrial character, for larger sizes from 200 cm.
What colors are the legs available in?
All table legs are available in three powder-coated steel colours: sand, black, and bronze. Combine tone-on-tone, for example, a sand-coloured leg with a natural top, or opt for contrast with a black leg under light oak.
What are the dimensions and how many people can it accommodate?
The round tables are available in diameters of 110, 130 and 150 cm, seating 4 to 6 people. The oval, Danish oval, and Cloud tables range from 180 to 280 cm, seating 4 to 10 people. All tables are 76 cm high.
As a rule of thumb, allow approximately 70 cm of table width per person and a minimum of 90 cm of walking space around the table.
What material are the tables made of?
Each tabletop is made of solid European oak with FSC certification, 3 cm thick and finished with a refined chamfered edge. The legs are made of powder-coated steel. Slight differences in grain and color are inherent to solid wood and make your table unique.
What is the delivery time for the dining tables?
In stock means free delivery within 4 to 6 business days. If a chosen tabletop or table leg is temporarily out of stock, you will see the expected delivery time immediately during configuration. Your table will always be delivered complete in one go.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping of your custom dining table is always free, throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. The table base is delivered assembled; you only need to attach the tabletop.
How can I pay?
You pay however you want: in advance via iDEAL, among others, in 3 interest-free installments via in3, or afterwards with Klarna or Riverty. View all options on our payment options page.
A dining table custom-made for your dining room
Buying a dining table is rarely an impulse purchase. You look for the right shape for your space, the right size for your family, and a look that matches the rest of your interior. Yet, in most webshops, you have to choose from fixed combinations: this top simply goes with that leg. With Starfurn's customizable dining tables, that's not the case. You determine the shape, size, color of the tabletop, and the type and color of the base. This way, you get a dining table custom-made for your dining room, without custom prices and without months of waiting time.
Dining room table or dining table for the living room?
More and more often, the dining table is not in a separate dining room, but in the middle of an open-plan kitchen or living room. That requires different choices. In an open space, an oval or organic table often works better than a rectangular one: without sharp corners, the space flows visually, and it's easier to move around. If you have a compact dining room, a round dining table of 110 or 130 cm is often the smartest choice, as it leaves space in the corners. For a long, narrow space, a Danish oval table comes into its own best.
Which size suits your space?
Allow approximately 70 cm of table width per person and keep at least 90 cm of walking space around the table, so that chairs can be comfortably pulled back. If you are unsure between two sizes, first measure your free floor space and subtract 90 cm from all sides. What remains is the maximum comfortable table size.
Designing your own dining table: how does it work?
A dining table with its own tabletop and base sounds more complicated than it is. You choose in four steps: first the shape, then the size, then the top color, and finally the table leg. With each choice, you immediately see the corresponding photo, the price, and the delivery time, so you never encounter any surprises. You order a completely assembled table that is delivered to your home in one go.
Solid oak that will last for generations
All tabletops are made of solid European oak with an FSC certificate, 3 cm thick and finished with a refined chamfer that makes the table visually lighter. Oak wood is hard, durable, and gains more character over the years. The steel bases are powder-coated and delivered assembled. Small differences in grain and color are inherent to solid wood: no two tables are identical.
Complete your dining area
A self-designed table deserves a suitable environment. Combine it with comfortable dining chairs, an atmospheric pendant lamp above the tabletop, and a soft rug underneath. If you prefer to see all models side by side with starting prices, please view the collection of customizable dining tables. If you are only looking for a new base for an existing top, you will find all individual models in the table legs collection.
