The Borg upholstery is a woven fabric with a subtle braided pattern created through a special weaving technique. The mélange effect gives the material a three-dimensional depth and a rich, warm appearance. Thicker weft threads are incorporated into the densely woven base, which, after a brushing process, bring soft fibers to the surface—this gives the fabric its pleasant soft touch. With a weight of 315 g/m² and a composition of 92% polyester and 8% polyamide, the construction is robust and stable. The Martindale abrasion resistance is 40,000 cycles—suitable for intensive daily use.

The Borg upholstery complies with the OEKO-TEX standard: the material has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for daily contact for the entire family. The production process is completely PFC-free—no fluoropolymer compounds are used. The dye is incorporated into the raw material before the yarn is spun, a water-free production process that anchors the color deep into the fiber. As a result, the upholstery is excellently colorfast: resistant to UV light and washing, and retains its color even after years of use. In addition, the fabric has been tested for resistance to the claws and hair of dogs—a conscious choice for pet-friendly living comfort (Pet-proof).

Vacuum the upholstery regularly with a soft brush head along the direction of the nap and do not use a turbo brush. Gently dab fresh stains immediately with a dry cloth or paper towel—never rub, as this can damage the weave structure. For more stubborn stains, use a damp cloth with lukewarm water and a mild detergent in light, circular motions. Always allow the fabric to air dry naturally; never use a tumble dryer or a heat source. Avoid rough brushes, strong detergents, and excessive wetting to prevent deformation and watermarks.
