The Egon upholstery is a pile fabric with a subtly structured surface, achieved through a special weaving technique. The soft mélange effect gives the material depth and a three-dimensional appearance. Extra yarns are woven into the tightly woven base and frayed using a cutting technique, so they are pulled to the surface and form a particularly soft pile surface. With a weight of 350 g/m², Egon is the heaviest and most voluminous upholstery in the series. The composition is 95% polyester and 5% polyamide, with a Martindale abrasion resistance of 30,000 cycles for normal daily use.

The Egon upholstery meets the OEKO-TEX standard: tested for harmful substances and safe for daily contact. The production process is completely PFC-free and the dye is incorporated into the raw material through a waterless dyeing process. This ensures deep color anchoring and excellent colorfast upholstery that is resistant to UV light and washing. The fabric has been tested for resistance to the claws and hair of cats, making it pet-friendly for cat households (Pet-proof).

Vacuum the upholstery regularly with a soft brush head along the direction of the nap and do not use a turbo brush. Gently dab fresh stains immediately with a dry cloth or paper towel — never rub, as this will damage the pile structure. For more stubborn stains, use a damp cloth with lukewarm water and a mild detergent in light, circular motions. Always allow the fabric to air dry naturally, never in a tumble dryer or with a heat source. Avoid rough brushes, strong cleaning agents, and excessive wetting to prevent distortion and water marks.
